  Michael O'Brien

  Founder

  Michael developed high-frequency trading algorithms at Goldman Sachs and Bank of New York. During the COVID-19 pandemic he built large scale predictive models used by FEMA to prevent the spread of COVID-19, saving thousands of lives. He later led data engineering at Anheuser Busch, where his supply chain optimizations saved the company over $35 million. He founded Syfer Labs in 2025.

  Riccardo Sonsini

  Software Development

  Riccardo architects digital products and mission critical services, including the infrastructure behind SoFi’s financial platform, supporting systems that processed over $50 billion in transaction volume with uninterrupted reliability. He combines intuitive, high performance user experiences with backend APIs designed for sub-millisecond latency and multi-region resilience. At Syfer Labs, he builds hyper resilient, end-to-end platforms designed to scale.

  Kelvin Medina

  Cybersecurity

  Kelvin spent nearly seven years at Amazon Web Services, where he led the global application and infrastructure security program that set the security bar for more than 10,000 developers. Before that, at Naval Sea Systems Command, he analyzed security events against tasking orders issued by U.S. Cyber Command. He has taught cybersecurity as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami and published research in the field.
